On a post by GTT on the 6th June 2023, we laid out our short-term targets to reduce our carbon footprint by 40% in line with the IMO’s 2030 deadline.
We are pleased to announce that we have already reduced the Sulphur specification on our gasoline and other clean products that we import into West Africa and particularly Nigeria by over 60% since the beginning of the year.
It was decided in August 2023 and will take place immediately for September 2023 deliveries. In collaboration with regional importers and government agencies, we have worked swiftly and resolutely to adhere to the new maximum sulphur content that regulates the fuel importation specification by ensuring and investing in our products to ensure that the specifications are met immediately.
We will continue to ensure we improve upon this in line with our green targets laid out in our short and long term missions.
