Meet The Team

Christopher joined the company in 2021 as the Global Head and oversees the day-to-day activities of the company. Aside from overseeing the company’s existing portfolio, he is responsible for spearheading the business development drive into becoming a market leader for Energy worldwide.

Christopher is celebrating his 20th year in the oil & gas sector this year and has previously headed up the global trading teams of international energy trading companies. He has physical experience trading across the barrel from crude to LPG, but specialises on refined products blending and trading.

Having previously held roles in trade finance, Risk Management, operations and shipping it allows Christopher to effectively manage the company’s overall portfolio from the inception of the trade until completion.

Having been stationed in Singapore, London, New York and now Dubai, he has been an active participant of the oil & gas community for 20 years which has granted him a network of trading partners across all regions of trade from Asia, Middle East, Europe/Med, Africa and the Americas.

Christopher studied Business & Economics at Southampton Solent University, UK and is fluent in English and Spanish.

Mahesh Thadani joined GTT as the Senior Manager of Finance and Treasury in November 2023 as part of GTT’s expansion. As our finance department continues to grow and evolve, Mahesh’s addition marks a significant step in our journey.

Mahesh was notably the first employee of GTT back in 2011, before venturing out to gain eight years of vital experience in the oil and gas sector.

Mahesh is a distinguished fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK (ACCA), with a MSc in Professional Accountancy from the University of London. His extensive 16-year career in finance is marked by pivotal roles trade finance, regulatory compliance, auditing, tax advisory, enhancing financial processes through cross-functional collaboration, implementing robust internal control systems, and leading transitions to advanced ERP systems.

He has served as a Finance Manager and a Group Accountant in the oil trading sector.

Arshad Ali has joined the company in the position of Head of Internal Compliance & Audit and will review, oversee, and preserve the company’s internal procedures, compliance and audit.

Arshad is a qualified and adept finance professional with over 16 years of robust experience and background in Finance, Tax, Compliance, and Audit.

Arshad was educated with a Bachelor of Commerce (B.COM), before he completed a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA Finance) at the Higher Education Commission in Pakistan. He is a qualified Forensic Accountant at IFAP Pakistan and a Chartered Accountant with ICAP Pakistan.

Arshad has built his experience over the years and started working for Deloitte in 2007, before moving into the banking industry as Audit Team Lead at the First Micro Finance Bank Limited. He eventually progressed into the private sector where he held Financial Controller roles with companies specialising in the Marine, Shipping, Power, Logistics and Asset management sectors.

He is proficient in identifying financial risks and procedural discrepancies in local, national, and international business settings, showing a strong understanding and knowledge of regional and global compliance standards.

Stephen joined GTT in December 2022 as a Senior Trader and brings with him over 17 years of knowledge and experience in the physical oil & gas trading and risk management sector.

In particular, he specialises in trading LNG, LPG and light ends, areas in which the company is already active, but looking to expand.

Stephen has experience executing derivatives and hedging physical exposure and has been instrumental in setting up and maintaining risk management departments in small and large international trading houses.

He has a positive track record in trading and lifting LNG from Nigeria and other areas, managing the deal from inception of the trade to overseeing the shipping, operations and risk management of until completion.

Stephen is a well-liked and active member of the Oil & Gas community.

Holly-Ann Rice has joined the GTT family in Dubai in January 2024.

Holly has been appointed Operations Manager and will oversee the day-to-day global maritime logistics of the company’s commodity trading operational activity.

Holly’s education was completed in the UK, before she commenced on her commodities career with commodity trading company Trafigura. Holly was initially stationed in Singapore specialising in Oil Market analysis and research for Crude and Petroleum Products, before moving to Trafigura’s Geneva branch in Switzerland where she developed her expertise within the Crude Risk analysis and expanded her role alongside commodity-focused investment relations. Finally, Holly rounded her knowledge taking on a role in commodity global operations spanning across Europe, Baltics, Far East, Africa and the Americas.

Holly is a well-regarded individual and participant in the oil & gas community. Her diligent and methodical approach to operations and logistics will improve the company’s operational efficiency and continue our high demanding levels of operational flexibility and reliability.

Shamsudeen joined GTT in 2020 and manages the company’s trading risk portfolio.

He is a 1st class graduate of Telecommunications with a background in engineering and a Masters degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management from Heriot Watt University, Dubai.

Shamsudeen started his career with Matrix Energy Group in Africa, where he was trained in the areas of Trade operations, Terminal operations, and Shipping.

Shamsudeen initially joined GTT in the role of Trade Operations Executive and handling the company’s day-to-day vessel and cargo operations. He has a proven track record accross multiple roles in Crude, Refined Products and LPG operations gaining invaluable experience and on the job exposure which have prepared him for the current assignment.

A manager certified by the International Purchasing and Supply Chain Management Institute (IPSCMI) with prior knowledge in the area of HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) and with active participation in several professional Trading & operation courses.
